Short of getting rich and retiring early, work is basically inevitable. But assuming we have to keep coming into an office each day, we’d rather it be in The Fenway. Not that we’re biased or anything.
After all, commuting here is a breeze. Lunch options are plentiful. Even the best team in baseball wants to work here.
Because there’s always something to do. Whether you need an excuse to procrastinate, or you’re in between meetings, you’ll never be bored in our neighborhood. Especially when you get away from your desk.
Remember all those lunch options? There are tasty choices for breakfast, dinner, dessert and snacking, too. A great pre-or-post meeting activity is stopping at a local restaurant for any of the aforementioned meals.
Supplement all that snacking between meetings with sweating. Not everyone has the energy left to work out at night. Even fewer are motivated to get up before the sun. That’s where midday exercise comes in.
The Fenway sits between the Emerald Necklace and Charles River trails, perfect for all our runners out there. And if outdoor exercise isn’t your style, you can still schedule a midday spin, lifting or barre session.
Errands are usually the things we like to avoid on the weekend. In The Fenway, they are the things you do while avoiding work. After all, what essential can’t you get at Target?
Or, at least appropriately groomed. You don’t need to spend another meeting with shaggy hair when Bostonian Barber and Super Cuts are right in the middle of the neighborhood.
When the weather is nice, obviously. This is a good option, especially if you only have a couple of minutes before your next meeting. Use them to get outside. Get some Vitamin D. And get ready for the next round.
